How We Got Started
Founded in 2006, Rocky Mountain Ecology, LLC (RME) is a highly qualified environmental consulting firm with extensive experience in conducting project management, environmental review, and NEPA compliance on wide ranging projects throughout the Rocky Mountains and Southwestern States. Over the past 17 years our firm has completed over 1500 projects in the private, state, and federal sectors.
About Us
Our staff includes multiple Planners, Foresters, Wildlife Biologists, Plant Ecologists, and Geospatial Specialists with extensive NEPA experience including Categorical Exclusions, Biological Assessments, Environmental Assessments, forest stand inventories, and forest stewardship plan authoring. We have collaboratively prepared multiple Forest Management Plans and Forest Stewardship Stand Exams, and other NEPA documentation in support of multiple projects for Private Landowners, New Mexico Department of Transportations, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and New Mexico State Land Office. Our services and project experience span the energy, transportation, land management, recreation, and ecological restoration on landscape, forest, and urban scales.
RME is a locally (Albuquerque & Reno) owned small business making an effort to source local employment from each of its field offices. RME has an expandable staff base to accommodate a range of projects that may be presented. See primary stuff under Our Team tab.
