Rocky Mountain Ecology, LLC (RME) boasts a diverse portfolio, engaging with private, state, and federal sectors on over 10,000 acres of environmental projects. Notably, our work includes Mexican spotted owl monitoring, NEPA documentation for State, Federal, and Private sectors. In addition, we collaborate with the U.S. Forest Service on road improvements and surveys. Our private sector contributions span solar energy projects, energy storage facilities, and extensive post-fire restoration.

San Antonio Creek Watershed Restoration Project

RME assisted in developing longitudinal stream profile development to assist with creekside restoration

Coconino Mexican Spotted Owl PAC Monitoring

RME is leading multiyear MSO PAC monitoring efforts within the Mogollon Rim Ranger District, monitoring is expected to continue through 2026.

Hermits Peak Calf Canyon (HPCC) Invasive Weed Survey

RME has completed over 1200 miles of a multi-year survey for noxious weeds mapping on the burn scar of the 2022 HPCC Fire.

MRGCD Acequia Vegetation Assessments

RME completed a comprehensive vegetation analysis throughout the Middle Rio Grande valley to assess species diversity across rural acequias.

Tijeras Arroyo Desert Willow Mitigation Planting

RME conducted an environmental mitigation planting of desert willow for permanent improvements made on a natural drainage within Albuquerque.

Two Rivers Park Restoration Planting

RME conducted a restoration planting for the Village of Ruidoso to replace aging cottonwood and restore lost willow habitat.

Clenera- Atrisco Solar Site

RME conducted noxious weed assessments and applied spot and pre-emergent herbicide applications.

Denver Mountain Parks Forest Management

RME has restored 200+ acres, through hand and mechanical treatments, within the Rocky Mountain Front Range with an additional 1000+ acres treated throughout Arizona and New Mexico.

Frisco Backyard Project

RME conducted surveys for western bumble throughout Town of Frisco open space to assess habitat usage around trail reconstruction.

Western Tiger Solar Project

RME conducted pre-construction Sonoran Desert Tortoise surveys on 5000 acres of construction area.

Sabino Canyon Invasive Grasses Treatment

RME assists with invasive buffel grass treatment and mapping within the Coronado National Forest.

Kamas Landscape Restoration Treatments

RME assists Forest Fitness with project management and direction on a 3000+ acre restoration treatment.
